Our clients purchased their first property in NYC as a second residence. The asking price was $1,195,000. We negotiated one of the best deals in decades for a 2br/2ba apartment on 5th Avenue at a final sale price of $995,000. Our client was prepared to pay $1.16M. The average discount in the area is 5% maximum. In the end, we saved our client $165,000 from where he was willing to pay and negotiated a total 17% discount which is 12% more than our peers.
